Project Overview
The Virar-Alibaug Multi-Modal Corridor is an ambitious access-controlled highway project designed to connect Navghar and Balavali in its Phase 1 development. This vital corridor, slated to span across three districts – Raigad, Thane, and Palghar, will consist of 8 to 14 lanes, ensuring seamless connectivity and facilitating smoother transportation across the region.
Bidding Process and Participation
The bidding process for Phase 1 of the VAMMC project saw active participation from 14 civil engineering firms. Following the Request for Qualification (RfQ) round in April 2023, wherein 28 firms submitted applications, 18 firms qualified for the subsequent Request for Proposal (RfP) round in December 2023. The opening of technical bids in January 2024 marked the next phase, with 14 firms submitting a total of 33 bids for various packages.
