Exciting Railway Project Alert! Bids Opened for Package C-4 Haryana Orbital Rail Corporation (HORC)

In a significant advancement for the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC) project, the Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (HRIDC) has recently awarded the Letter of Acceptance (LOA) to Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RVNL). The contract, valued at an impressive Rs. 10,884,924,938.08, marks a substantial leap forward in the development of Haryana's first semi high-speed rail line.

The milestone comes after RVNL emerged as the lowest bidder for Package C-4 of the project, which encompasses the construction of twin tunnels through the Aravalis, connecting chainage km 24.880 to km 29.580 near Sohna's Roz-Ka-Meo Industrial Area. This segment spans 4.7 km and holds strategic importance in enhancing connectivity and infrastructure in the region.

HRIDC initiated the tendering process for this section's construction in November 2022, setting a completion deadline of 971 days (approximately 2.66 years). While the estimated project cost remains unconfirmed, speculation suggests it could be around Rs. 1230 crore. Technical bids were opened in mid-February, revealing 6 bidders competing for the contract.
