This ambitious 93.2 km, 6-lane access-controlled highway is being developed under the authority of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The project is strategically planned to link with the upcoming Lucknow – Kanpur Expressway, boosting regional trade and travel efficiency.

The proposed alignment will pass through several critical areas, including:

  • Ramaipur
  • Rooma
  • Chakeri Airport
  • Trans Ganga City
  • Mandhana

Kanpur Ring Road – Current Status

Land acquisition for Phase 1 — stretching from Chainage 0+000 to Km. 22+500 — began in September 2021. While the foundation stone is yet to be laid, the groundwork for project execution is well underway.
