Nagpur, Maharashtra – The race to build the ambitious 182 km Nagpur Chandrapur Expressway in eastern Maharashtra has begun, with nine leading civil engineering companies submitting a total of 22 bids. This high-speed corridor, being developed by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), promises to drastically cut travel time and boost economic growth in the region.
Nagpur Chandrapur Expressway – Project Overview
The Nagpur–Chandrapur Expressway will be a 4-lane, access-controlled highway with a 100-meter Right-of-Way (ROW) and a design speed limit of 120 km/h. Starting from Seldoh village on the Mumbai–Nagpur Expressway (Samruddhi Mahamarg or ME-2), it will stretch to Ghatkul village, with a spur road to Chandrapur city.
This project is part of Maharashtra’s vision to strengthen intra-state connectivity, reduce logistical bottlenecks, and open up new opportunities for industries, tourism, and trade.
